You Can't Go Wrong Buying A GE Hotpoint Electric Range

The Hotpoint electric range is a vintage kitchen appliance. Heck, my grandma still has her stove-top from the 1960s in her small cabin by the lake and it's still working perfectly. But, General Electric is noted for providing some of the most dependable kitchen appliances out there, and their Hot Point series is no exception.

I've encountered quite a few bad brands when I was employed as a salesperson at a local appliance store, and I could always confirm the quality of GE products. There are some other solid brands out there, but GE just produces some classic workhorses. We actually had quite a few of those fancy European (and particularly Italian) models in our store, and they definitely had certain aesthetic qualities - they're pretty little things, really - but we would get them back time and time again with a multitude of problems.

This was really a nuisance because the parts were so much more costly. While the initial commissions on merchandise like that were higher, and they were nice looking appliances at first glance, I soon figured out that it wasn't worth selling them. It not only cost the shop money (in which I became a partial investor after a few years) due to the greater amount of repairs we were forced to do on the machines, but it also adversely affected my sales in the long run.

People get angry when you sell them things that break. Even if you did not know about the quality issues, and ready to fix the problem ASAP, it still was quite a bit of time out of someone's day. From all of my experience, I can state that GE makes some great appliances, and their electric ranges especially stood out. Not only to do they keep up to pace with all of the new (and now seemingly necessary features), but they are much less likely to break down.

Fewer and fewer companies produce quality products, and the Hotpoint electric ranges are still the workhorses that they have always been. Really, if you're really using your kitchen appliances, there is no reason to simply go for anything that looks nice. Opt for something that makes an effort to combine style and function. And be sure it is a good item. From my experience, you can't go wrong with a GE Hotpoint range.
